Last-Mile Transit Solutions From the Baker Administration for Employers and Commuters?





The Baker-Polito Administration announced $4.2M in Workforce Transportation funding yesterday designed to create new commuting options to get people out of single-occupancy vehicles and into shared ride options and/or enhanced public transportation modes.  The Merrimack Valley TMA is working with the local legislative delegation to develop additional to reduce commute congestion and attract and retain employees locally. 

“What is needed is more commuting options, more transit, more employer shuttles, more ‘first mile, last mile’ services to connect people to workplaces and job centers,” said Secretary Pollack. “This $4.2 million in Workforce Transportation Grants help fund employers providing these options.”
