Cost, hassle has more people turning to car-free living

It seems the cost of parking a car as well as the hassle of driving has more and more people leaving their cars at home and using public transit and ride-sharing to get in and around Boston.

According to WGBH, there are more empty spots in garages and along streets due to the increased cost of parking, as well as more and more people using services like Uber and Lyft.

The trend is also being seen in the number of valet permits which are down considerably since last year.
